The ceremony was organized on 31st October 2015, with its commencement at 1pm in the afternoon in the college open stage. Lamp lighting is a very important ceremony in every nurses professional life, as it marks the beginning of a nurses nursing career, where they take “Florence Nightingale Pledge” and the light of nursing is passed on to the budding nurses by the senior nurse. The ceremony was guested by honorable Shri Narendra Singh Tomar Ji (Union Minister of steel and mines, govt. Of India), Smt. Maya Singh Ji (Cabinet Minister of women and child development,Govt. Of Madhya Pradesh), Shri Dhyanendra Singh Ji ( Ex- minister, Govt. of MP), Shri Rakesh Singh Jadon Ji ( President, counter magnet city, SADA, Gwalior). the guests were duly welcomed with bouquet and a welcome speech by the Chairman Shri Sunil Singh Rathore Ji. The programme followed with lighting the lamps, invocation and the pledge by the 1st year Bsc Nursing and GNM students. The programmed concluded with a beautiful cultural program and vote of thanks by the Principal.
It was celebrated in the campus from 4th to 9th April with finals on 11th April. Nutrition being an important factor for the health of a human, knowledge of it is equally important for nurses. The best way of learning is by doing it. Thus, to enhance this learning in our students, nutritional week was organized. The students of 1st year BSc nursing and GNM were divided into groups and were given diets for preparation each day, starting from 4th of April. The students worked by coordinating with each other, preparing charts that had the nutritive values of the ingredients in the menu, cooking it deliciously and serving it with manner, love and knowledge. The students were given different diets like Balanced diet, high calorie diet, iron rich diet, protein diet, etc., one day in advance of preparation. The students were totally involved in the entire process from purchasing to serving. The students were guided and assessed for knowledge throughout the process. The week concluded on 11th of April. On this day a competition com nutrition exhibition was conducted, where students from different nursing colleges in Gwalior were invited to participate. The theme of the event was “Eat Healthy Eat Right”. This theme was also the topic for poster competition. Students from within and outside college prepared diets on the given topics like balanced diet, renal diet, protein diet, food cooked without fire etc. There was fruit and vegetable decoration also that were the part of this contest. It was guest by Principals from various nursing college in Gwalior and renowned doctors from Gajaraja Medical College, Gwalior. This event was much appreciated by all.
“Behind every successful man, there’s a women” an age old adage, which best captures the contribution of women. Women’s day is celebrated internationally on 8th March, so was it in the JINR campus. The event was organized to honor, recognize and show solidarity towards the advancement, achievements and bravery of women and girls across the world. There are different ways of celebrating this day, but in the JINR campus it was celebrated with speeches and talks by well-known female personalities of Gwalior. There was cultural that was hosted followed by giving away tokens of respect and honor to these personalities. The attractive part of the event was pink color code that was beautifully followed by all staffs and students of JINR.
JINR staffs and students celebrated world health day with the theme “Beat Diabetes”. Speeches and lecture sessions were organised in the college auditorium for the staffs and students of JINR and VISM group of studies. The occasion proved a successful platform in increasing the existing awareness about the rise in diabetes and the need to halt it. The lecture sessions were delivered by the Principal Madam Vishnupriya followed by power point teaching by MSc Faculties. The sessions highlighted on the rising incidence of diabetes, its staggering burden and consequences to the country, the newer trends adopted by the health care sector in affordably tackling diabetes. Free nurse run health check-up campus were organised by the students in the nearby village. Students gave health education with the help of flash cards, charts and roleplays on Diabetes and its prevention.
Nurse’s day was celebrated as a one week celebration with great enthusiasm by students and staffs of SNA and TNAI within the campus. The celebration included cultural and sports events. It commenced on 5th of May and concluded on 12th may. The cultural events included debates, quizzes, and essay, elocution, rangoli, mehendi and poster competitions. Sports events included both indoor and outdoor games like chess, carom, table tennis, cricket, kabaddi, races and throw ball. The awaited day i.e May 12th the programmed began with unveiling the theme of nurse’s day “Nurses a force for change: Improving health systems’ resilience”, a speech by Principal Madam and chief guest, followed by welcoming of guests, cultural and prize distribution.
The day of Adios was celebrated on 10th of September. The outgoing batches of 150 students from all the batches were bid goodbye for a better future ahead with prayers and regards for their coming exams. The party included culturals, farewell speeches by a student from each outgoing batch, encouraging and motivational speech by Principal and Chairman, lastly giving away of their token of thanks to the college and a delicious dinner party.
A day to welcome and discover the new faces and talents in the college. Fresher’s day was celebrated on 4th October. The new comers were welcomed to the auditorium with a rose and tilak. The cultural were performed by all the new batches, where they not only proved their talents but also introduced themselves. The occasion ended with ramp walk by the fresher’s.
Was celebrated with flag hosting, parade by the NCC students, National Anthem on the college ground. The day followed with cultural in the college auditorium, speech by the college patrons, honoring the martyrs’ and finally distribution of sweets.
These above events are celebrated in the campus with great pomp and show. Health events are organised well by conducting health check-up camps, awareness camp, awareness walks. The students and staffs conduct seminar and workshops on these days. Every year, once a national level workshop, seminar or conference is also conducted.
JINR is going to conduct a national workshop on November and International level workshop in the month of February
